John Spurling – Year of election 2010

John Spurling has written some 35 plays for stage, TV and radio; four novels and two books of criticism.  He has written “countless” book reviews, was the art critic for the New Statesman for a number of years, and has additionally been involved in broadcasting.  Spurling hopes that people will not only enjoy watching his plays, but will also “treat them as good stories worth reading.”
