David Kynaston – Year of election 2010

David Kynaston is a social historian whose works include the four-volume The City of London (1995–2002). He is currently working on Tales of a New Jerusalem, covering the history of Britain from 1945 to 1979. The first of an intended six volumes, Austerity Britain (2007), was named a book of the decade by The Sunday Times. The second, Family Britain, appeared in 2009.
